Works?

Then said they unto Him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on Him whom He hath sent. John 6:28,29

Faith without works is dead. James 2:20,26

Whose works?

When men turn from faith, or attempt to substitute works for it, the light goes out. Stop our own works and allow God to do the work in us. “To will and to do of His good pleasure.”
All our works are wrought in Him and they are right – that is indeed rest.
The same power that worketh in us, works to uphold all things in the universe.
Let Jesus abide in you and you will do the works of God.

No man can work in catching men unless Jesus Christ works in and through him. Ms 76, 1900

He will glorify Himself by working in and through them who wholly follow Him so that it shall be known that it is the Lord, and that their works are wrought in God. CH 378

Those who are in positions of trust are on test and trial, to see if they will be wise men in positions of trust, to reveal whether Christ is working in and through them, so that He can represent His character and express Himself in their words and actions toward His heritage, for whom He has given His own precious life. LHU 148

Human nature is ever struggling for expression. A person who is made complete in Christ must first be emptied of pride, of self-sufficiency. Then there is silence in the soul, and God's voice can be heard. Then the Spirit can find unobstructed entrance. Let God work in and through you. Then with Paul you can say, “I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me.” BLJ 262
