Learning from experience in life, nature, history, Scripture and from the indwelling Christ are the only effective teaching and training schools for eternal benefit. This is the School of Christ.
There is nowhere that this world offers where you can receive a true education that is beneficial for the present life or for eternity.
The training and education of a lifetime must often be discarded that the Christian may become a learner in the school of Christ. CE 122
In the incidents of the closing scenes of the Lord's ministry is embraced much that very many claiming to be Bible Christians do not study. They do not see that in their experience they are passing over the very same ground. They do not seem to care to learn lessons from the history of ancient Israel that have been written for their admonition. 2SAT 331
The following questions need to be personally asked —
Do I actually learn the true lesson from each and every opportunity presented from these sources?
Do I take the lesson onboard and apply it to the appropriate situations as they arise from that moment onward?
Or,
Am I slow to learn from these God-given means of gaining such a valuable education?
For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. Romans 15:4
