Significance Of His First Recorded Words:

Matthew 3:15 — And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered Him.

Mark 1:14,15 — Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

As a child: Luke 2:49 — And He said unto them, How is it that ye sought Me? wist ye not that I must be about My Father's business?

Luke 4:4 — And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

John 1:38,39 — Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest Thou? He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where He dwelt, and abode with Him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.

“Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness…The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel…How is it that ye sought Me? wist ye not that I must be about My Father's business?…It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God…What seek ye?…Come and see.”
