Famine

There have been many news reports, over the past few weeks, of the various predictions that many more will die due to the economic crisis caused by the ensuing Great Lock-down of 2020, than will ever die from the COVID-19 global pandemic itself.

You may have heard the news today, that because of the current economic fallout, a very significant percentage of the world’s population will have to endure the immense suffering of a “famine of Biblical proportion”. This on top of the many “unprecedented” situations that have already affected the world, and all of these unfolding so quickly.

Christ said, “And there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.” Matthew 24:7 as a sign of the end of this world.

He also said, I am the Bread of life: he that cometh to Me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on Me shall never thirst. John 6:35

This will remind us all of another time fast approaching:

Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord: And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the Word of the Lord, and shall not find it. Amos 8:11,12

So, while constantly partaking of Christ, the Bread of life, “let us strive with all the power that God has given to be among the 144,000” and be diligent to - Seek ye the Lord while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and He will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon. Isaiah 55:6,7

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me. Revelation 3:19,20
