Wait

We have only referred to a couple of texts so far in this trilogy of posts; there are many to be found in the Bible on this subject.

To close this brief consideration of the topic here are a few more references —

I have waited for Thy salvation, O Lord. Genesis 49:18

Yea, let none that wait on Thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause...Lead me in Thy truth, and teach me: for Thou art the God of my salvation; on Thee do I wait all the day...Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on Thee. Psalms 25:3,5,21

Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord. Psalms 27:14

Our soul waiteth for the Lord: He is our help and our shield. Psalms 33:20

I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined unto me, and heard my cry. Psalms 40:1

Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from Him cometh my salvation...My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from Him. Psalms 62:1,5

Let not them that wait on Thee, O Lord God of hosts, be ashamed for my sake: let not those that seek Thee be confounded for my sake, O God of Israel. Psalms 69:3,6

These wait all upon Thee; that Thou mayest give them their meat in due season. Psalms 104:27

Our eyes wait upon the Lord our God, until that He have mercy upon us. Psalms 123:2

I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in His word do I hope...My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning. Psalms 130:5,6

The eyes of all wait upon Thee; and Thou givest them their meat in due season. Psalms 145:15

Say not thou, I will recompense evil; but wait on the Lord, and He shall save thee. Proverbs 20:22

And I will wait upon the Lord, that hideth His face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for Him. Isaiah 8:17

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

The Lord is good unto them that wait for Him, to the soul that seeketh Him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord. Lamentations 3:25,26

Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days. Daniel 12:12

Therefore turn thou to thy God: keep mercy and judgment, and wait on thy God continually. Hosea 12:6

Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me. Micah 7:7

But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Romans 8:23,25

So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ: 1 Corinthians 1:7

For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. Galatians 5:5

And to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come. 1 Thessalonians 1:10

And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ. 2 Thessalonians 3:5

Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. James 5:7

Without the accompanying blessing of God but little can be accomplished. We hope you will wait on God, and seek wisdom from above. “Without me,” says Christ, “ye can do nothing.” Lt23 1870

Let us each wait on God, and He will teach us how to work and what work we are best adapted to perform...Look not to man for guidance, but to the God of Israel. 5T 463

Remember that the time spent in waiting on God is not lost. Act ever under the guidance of the Spirit of God. Ms 84, 1897

Christ will bless you abundantly as you wait on Him.

For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the LORD; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. 1 Corinthians 4:5

Caution! Should you decide to do “any good thing” that you may have seen on this or any affiliated site, it will prove to be futile, superficial and short-lived at best. Enoch

And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of His saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him. Jude 14,15

And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him. Genesis 5:21-24

Enoch is our surety that what Christ says, He will do -

Enoch is 5405 years old this year.

The everlasting gospel is an individual work in each individual heart. As Christ lives His life out in and through you, with His mind, He will guide you to operate as He does. Even when speaking to thousands each one will be addressed individually. Time is never wasted when devoted to one single person. The Good Shepherd looks after and cares for the single lamb. The most important and glorious truths Christ has had recorded were to a one soul audience.

The operating policy of Above Every Name is based on the above statement.

None Higher

That the God of our LORD Jesus Christ, the Father of glory…set Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is His body, the fulness of Him that filleth all in all. Ephesians 1:17-23

I have glorified Thee on the earth: I have finished the work which Thou gavest Me to do. And now, O Father, glorify Thou Me with Thine own Self with the glory which I had with Thee before the world was…Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given Me, be with Me where I am; that they may behold My glory, which Thou hast given Me: for Thou lovedst Me before the foundation of the world. John 17:4,5,24

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other Name under Heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12

Christ alone

Reaching out to and connecting with His faithful believers in "all Truth" worldwide “with the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to Him; for the hour of His judgment is come: and worship Him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters…Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”, we are together with Him for eternity, His holy people.

History is replete with examples of what His denominated people will DO during the delay of a tarrying time, instead of having their characters perfected, being prepared, ready, watching and patiently waiting on Him to unfold events in His time.

He has warned us and it has all been seen before,

"There is no new thing under the sun" Ecclesiastes 1:9.
